In 1903, Morven Park became the home of Westmoreland Davis and his wife Marguerite Inman Davis. During their time at the estate, Westmoreland Davis was elected Governor of Virginia from 1918 - 1922. Known as Virginia's "Farmer Governor," Davis dedicated himself to improving the lives of Virginia's farm familie. Enjoy a guided tour of the Governor's Mansion, Museum of Hounds and Hunting of North America, and the Winmill Carriage Museum included in your visit today.
Afterwards visit and tour Dodona Manor (The Marshall House) The Marshall House, also known as Dodona Manor, was the home of General George and Katherine Marshall from 1941 through 1959. Beginning in the late 1990s the manor house underwent extensive restoration and re-opened to the public in 2005. Ninety percent of the furnishings and memorabilia are original to the Marshall period of residency. Marshall is best known as the author of the Marshall Plan which laid the groundwork for post-World War II European recovery.

The house sits within five miles of the site of the First and Second Battles of Manassas. The main house was used as a Confederate hospital during and after the Battle of First Manassas.
