After breakfast, we'll venture to Woods Hole and board the Steamship Authority ferry for a short cruise to the beautiful Island of Martha's Vineyard. Located seven miles off the coastline, this Island offers a vacation ambiance unlike any other. Once an early refuge for coastal shipping, it blossomed into a whaling community in the 18th and 19th centuries and has evolved into a popular tourist destination today. Explore the diversity of its island towns, take a walk along our pristine shores, and step back in time to a more leisurely pace. Enjoy a guided tour of Oak Bluffs, noted for its collection of small Carpenter Gothic cottages clustered in the Methodist Camp Meeting Grounds, and Edgartown, known for its stately Greek Revival homes built by a sea captain of years past. This afternoon, re-board the ferry and cruise back to the mainland for a delicious dinner together.
