Christmas in Vermont with the von Trapp Family Lodge

Join us for a fabulous Vermont Christmas Getaway. This outstanding tour will includes a two nights stay at the wonderful mountainside von Trapp Family Lodge and one night in Manchester. Our fully escorted tour will include visits to the Chocotorium , Cabot Farm Store, Vermont Country Store, the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, a picturesque horse-drawn sleigh (or wagon) ride, and of course time for shopping on your own. Tour includes one nights accommodations in Manchester, VT and two nights stay at the von Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT, 3 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 3 dinners.

Day 1

Sunday, December 13, 2026
We depart Audubon, New Jersey and make our way to the Green Mountains of Vermont to enjoy New England Yuletide spirit. We will make a stop in Arlington, VT for a delicious chocolate demonstration and tasting. Upon arrival in Manchester, we check into our hotel for the evening. Dinner is served at an adjacent restaurant.

Day 2

Monday, December 14, 2026
Breakfast is served at the hotel. Boarding the coach, we begin our journey north with our first stop in Weston at the Vermont Country Store. The oldest country store offers all things unique to New England. We then make our way to Middlebury for a delicious lunch at the Waybury Inn. The Inn was made famous by the television series "Newhart". Following lunch, we continue to Shelburne for a stop at the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. Here we enjoy a guided tour to see how Vermont's famous "furry friends" are created. Our final stop of the day is at the von Trapp Family Lodge where we settle in for the next two nights. Upon arrival we will enjoy the lodge's History Talk followed by the film the "Real Maria". Dinner is included and we will have a special guest join us.

Day 3

Tuesday, December 15, 2026
Breakfast is served at the hotel. This morning, we board the coach and travel to Cold Hollow Cider Mill where you will have an opportunity to browse the selection of homemade goodies and ciders - be sure to try a cider donut! Our next stop is at the Cabot Farm Store where you can visit Cabot Creamery, Danforth Pewter, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Smugglers Distillery and the Vermont Flannel Company We stop in charming downtown Stowe for lunch and shopping on your own. This afternoon we will enjoy a delightful sleigh (or wagon) ride *weather depending. This evening dinner is served on the Observation Deck at the neighboring Trapp Bierhall. Following dinner sit back and enjoy the lodge's holiday movie. (B,D)

Wednesday, December 16, 2026
Breakfast is served at the hotel. Boarding the coach, we begin our journey home with fond memories of our time in Vermont.
