Bay Country Red, White and Blue Brews - Veteran Owned Breweries

 

Arrive in Queen Anne’s County on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. First stop is The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center. We will tour the center and meet the four species of raptors that have been rescued but are unable to be released back into the wild. Birds currently housed at CBEC include barred owls, a great horned owl, red-tail hawk, and American kestrel (smallest and most colorful falcon).

 

Lunch will be enjoyed at one of Kent Narrows popular restaurants. Enjoy a crab cake, local fish, or chicken entrée, and dessert. Before enjoying 2 local “VETERAN OWNED BREWERIES!!

 

First stop Ten Eyck Brewing Company. This is an award- winning brewery, tap room, and beer garden. Locally owned and operated by women veterans & first responders. Craft beer, cider, as well as nonalcoholic beverages are available for tasting. Don’t forget to stop at the store for a little take home treat!!

 

Not finished yet! Second on the tasting tour is PATRIOT ACRES FARM BREWERY. This is a veteran-owned brewery located on a historic family farm that grows its own hops and other ingredients. It offers a variety of craft beers, cider, and sodas. Known for its family-friendly setting they have Lincoln long hair sheep, Nigerian dwarf goats, alpacas, chickens, duck, geese, and more! Merchandise available for purchase includes beverages, free range eggs, alpaca yarns, and soap!!
